Resetting Scripts

When things go wrong with a scripted item, it’s often a good idea to reset the scripts on it. It’s not always the best answer, but if you can’t think of anything else to try, it’s usually a good thought. Here’s how to do it in the Firestorm viewer. Other viewers should be similar.

1. Right-click the item and click “Edit.” The Build panel will appear with your item highlighted. Make sure it stays highlighted.

2. On the main menu at the top of the Second Life window, click “Build.” Go to “Scripts,” then “Reset Scripts.”

(Newer versions of Firestorm have a Reset Scripts button in the Edit panel too. It does the same thing as the menu item above.)

When you successfully reset your CCU, you should see your program modules reload.

When you successfully reset an Access Panel or Battery, it will change color briefly.
