Artwork can be a mannequin, a statue, a doll, or really any sort of immovable figure you might want to be.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recommended:<\/strong> You need to do a little setup before installing the ArtCore. Read <a title=\"Becoming an ACS Mannequin\" href=\"http:\/\/acs-hub.net\/?page_id=799\">Becoming ACS Artwork<\/a> for specific instructions.<\/p>\n<p>You can get a <strong>free, limited demo<\/strong> <strong>ArtCore<\/strong> from the vendor in the Workshop at ACS, or a friend who already has one can give you a copy. Attach it manually, or go through the Conversion Chamber or the Factory. Within a few moments, you will be a statue, mannequin, doll, or other artwork avatar. Your free demo expires seven days after the first time you attach an ArtCore, and has some limitations. If you decide you like the ArtCore, <strong>buy a License<\/strong> from the vendor at ACS or, at a higher price, from the Marketplace, and rez it. You will then be able to use any ArtCore <strong>with no limitations or expiration date<\/strong>. <em>(New for Version 2.3, released August 2018.) <\/em>Note that if you wait until after your ArtCore demo has expired, you may not be able to activate the full license. If this happens, send a message to the <a href=\"_wp_link_placeholder\" data-wplink-edit=\"true\">ACS Helpdesk<\/a> with the artwork avatar&#8217;s username, and it will be addressed shortly (usually within a day or two).<\/p>\n<p>An ArtCore license is transferrable and no-copy, so you can buy one to give to a friend. Just don&#8217;t rez it until you&#8217;re ready to install it. (As delivered, you can still do a bunch of things, including animating yourself at will. But if you really want to be at the mercy of others, you can increase restrictions.)<\/li>\n<li>Anyone can use the icons over your head to <strong>change your clothing<\/strong>, <strong>pose<\/strong> you, <strong>carry<\/strong> you around, and <strong>sit<\/strong> you on things. (Unless you&#8217;re made of a rigid material that can&#8217;t be reposed, or are too heavy to carry, or are the wrong shape to dress.)<\/li>\n<li>Anyone can easily <strong>add new poses<\/strong> to you (as long as they have full permissions on them).<\/li>\n<li>You can be <strong>temporarily animated<\/strong> by someone else using their <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/acs-hub.net\/?page_id=1212\">Animation Talisman<\/a><\/strong> (sold separately).<\/li>\n<li>You can be <strong>animated indefinitely<\/strong> if you are wearing your own <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/acs-hub.net\/?page_id=1212\">Animation Talisman<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Being Animated<\/h3>\n<p>You can set up your ArtCore so that when you are animated or deanimated, you automatically add and remove items &#8211; for example, you might lose a plastic sheen and add an Animation Override when animated. In addition, while you are animated:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can <strong>move<\/strong> and <strong>talk<\/strong> like a person.<\/li>\n<li>You can <strong>dress<\/strong> and <strong>undress<\/strong> yourself using your HUD.<\/li>\n<li>You can <strong>pose<\/strong> and stay still, allowing others to pose and dress you, or even making them think you still can&#8217;t move.<\/li>\n<li>Anyone can <strong>turn off<\/strong> your Animation Talisman, deanimating you immediately.<\/li>\n<li>If it&#8217;s not your own talisman, it can be <strong>removed<\/strong> and returned to its owner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Other ArtCore features:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>You can rename and organize your poses for ease of use<\/li>\n<li>You can make more than one form available (for example, a Statue and a Mannequin), each of which can be animated and have different properties. You can change forms yourself, or someone else can change you using a Reshaper Talisman.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>ArtCore Accessories<\/h2>\n<p>ACS offers the following devices for use with ACS Artwork. They can all be purchased at the ACS Magic Shop, to the left (west) of the courtyard.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Artwork Stand.<\/strong><em> F<\/em><em>ree!<\/em> Holds a mannequin, statue, or doll upright and looking pretty. Can be moved horizontally (not by its occupant!) by dragging it slowly. [You&#8217;ll be put on one automatically when you&#8217;re first transformed.]<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/acs-hub.net\/?page_id=1212\">Animation Talisman<\/a>.<\/strong> You can put this on any artwork avatar with an ACS ArtCore to temporarily give the artwork the power to look, move, and talk like a real person. When it&#8217;s taken off, the artwork reverts to its usual immobile state. The talisman requires a while to recharge before it can be used again.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/acs-hub.net\/?page_id=1212\">Reshaper Talisman<\/a>.<\/strong> You can put this on any artwork avatar with an ACS ArtCore to reshape it &#8211; changing its pose, or (if configured) even change it from one art form to another.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mannequin Sign<\/strong>. Rez it near an artwork display and drag in a texture for it to display. Sometimes unexpected little messages turn up on them, too &#8211; almost as if the artwork were trying to communicate through it!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, you can also use the <a href=\"https:\/\/acs-hub.net\/?product=acs-crystal-mind-probe\">ACS Crystal Mind Probe<\/a> with an artwork avatar, if you should ever want to know what it&#8217;s is thinking and feeling inside that inanimate body.\u00a0 ((The artwork&#8217;s player will have to cooperate for this to work, of course.))<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ACS has automated the magic needed to create artwork imbued with a personality.
